We sew in the 3 pockets to take these metal rails and also hoops down each side to accept the wires needed to hold the lining in place down the side rails. The kit comes ready sewn for easy fitment. So far so good! Our Belgian Malinois/Black Lab mix goes through other brands of squeaky tennis balls in a matter of days. Including the ones that cost 2.00 a piece.
